One and a Half Centuries of Roman Legionaries Enter the Arena

NEWS AND EVENTS OF THE ERMINE STREET GUARD 2010

Towards the end of June the ESG travelled over to Marle in France to parade with other European groups in a mass Roman display that consisted of approximately 2 complete centuaries of Roman infantry and four cavalry. Three displays were given in sweltering heat to very appreciative crowds who cheered every aspect of the display. Our French hosts were very hospitable and all ESG members enjoyed their time in Marle and can't wait to return.

Enjoy these pictures, which capture the professionalism and camaraderie of the event.
